The Torcal is Bentley's first fully electric production car, a luxury SUV built at the company's Crewe factory in England. Two electric motors deliver 810 horsepower and reach 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, and Bentley quotes up to 373 miles of range and a 10 to 80 percent DC fast charge in 16 minutes. Bentley has said US pricing starts at $218,000 before destination, options and taxes, and no firm US on-sale date has been announced, so the sales team at Bentley Manhattan on 11th Avenue is the best place to ask where ordering stands.

Bentley calls the Torcal its first all-new car in a decade, and the shape bears that out: a clean, upright SUV with a grille made from 76 hand-applied illuminated diamonds that fade up from darkness the moment the car is unlocked. The Torcal model guide covers the car in detail, and Bentley describes it as the essence of its new electric range, a balance of strong performance and the new cabin technology. A higher-output Torcal S is offered separately and has its own guide.
The Torcal is all-wheel drive and steers with all four wheels, so the car you drive in Manhattan behaves more nimbly than a vehicle of its size should. That combination of power, agility and a hand-finished interior is what Bentley hopes will bring new owners to an electric car.
Two permanent-magnet motors, one per axle, drive the car. They produce 810 horsepower and 1,155 Nm (852 lb-ft) of torque, with 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. Bentley's Active Ride system gives every wheel its own two-valve damper and hydraulic pump, so the car can resist body roll in a corner and still glide over a rough surface, and the rear wheels turn up to five degrees to shrink the turning circle to 11 meters (36.4 feet).
On the energy side, Bentley's quoted range is up to 373 miles (600 km), and its DC fast-charging claim is a 400 kW peak rate, good for 10 to 80 percent in about 16 minutes. Those are manufacturer figures. The EPA has not published a rating for the Torcal yet, and a real trip from Midtown to the Berkshires in January will land somewhere below the best-case number, as it does with every electric car.
The dashboard centers on a 12.25-inch vertically curved OLED touchscreen, the first OLED panel in any Bentley, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on its home screen and downloadable apps through My Bentley App Studio. A "Curation Engine" ties the drive mode to the cabin: Comfort, Sport, Bentley and Refresh each change the suspension character, the sound, the seat settings and the lighting together. Bentley deliberately left out a passenger screen, and a rotary controller still handles the modes.
Materials lean traditional. Handcrafted Ombre Walnut by Mulliner veneers sit alongside leather below the beltline and suede-like Dinamica above. For something no other Bentley has offered, you can specify pure Merino wool, woven for Bentley by the British mill Fox Brothers and paired with leather. More than 450 LEDs create the Dynamic Waterfall ambient lighting, and the standard 16-speaker, 620-watt sound system can be upgraded to Naim for Bentley, with 28 speakers, 1,780 watts and Dolby Atmos.

At 197 inches, the Torcal is the shortest four-door Bentley currently built, and with all-wheel steering it turns more tightly than its size suggests, which matters on a block where a delivery truck is always double-parked. Bentley also lists a set of parking tools: Park Assist, Remote Park Assist from the My Bentley app, and Garage Assist, which can memorize the route into your building garage and repeat it without input. Some of those features are offered in selected markets only, so ask the team which will be on US cars.
Charging is the practical question for any city buyer, and the answer starts with where the car sleeps. A garage space with a Level 2 charger turns daily driving into an overnight non-event, while the fast-charging claim covers longer trips out of the city. Visitors to the showroom at 711 11th Avenue tend to describe the place in straightforward terms; one Google reviewer called it "A beautiful Bentley showroom" (Marc D.), and another wrote that the "Great atmosphere, Salesman was very friendly and not pushy for a sale. Cars are beautiful as always" (Jacob S.). Neither review concerns the Torcal, which has not reached customers yet, but both describe the setting where you would first see one.

It is Bentley's first all-electric production vehicle, a luxury SUV that Bentley describes as its first all-new model in ten years. It was revealed in September 2026, is assembled in Crewe, England, and uses two electric motors with all-wheel drive.
Bentley's head of product communications has stated a US starting price of $218,000. Destination charges, options and taxes are separate, and the pricing and buying guide explains how those pieces add up for a New York buyer.
Bentley's model page lists a maximum range of up to 373 miles (600 km). That is a manufacturer figure rather than an EPA rating, so the certified US number may differ once it is published, and winter driving, wheel choice and speed will all move it.
Bentley has not announced a firm US on-sale date, and launch coverage points to 2027 for the first deliveries. Bentley Manhattan can share current ordering and timing information as soon as Bentley releases it.
Its all-wheel steering, 11-meter turning circle and parking-assistance tools are aimed squarely at tight streets and garages. Large wheels leave less tire sidewall between you and a pothole, so the service and repair guide covers what Manhattan roads ask of an electric Bentley.
